The Old Lamp

     While digging in the dirt, I found an old dirty lamp. I started to wipe the dirt off, when, suddenly, a genie appeared and promised to grant me three wishes. Firstly, I wished that I could wish any time wanted to. After that, I remembered that I never liked my father. So I wished for my father to change into a friendlier person who would always get along with me.

     When i firsy mey my new father, I felt so fantastic. He was good looking, and always showed concern to me. However, after a week , I found the problem. The new father never worked, and bugged me too much. He also never paid attention or help anyone, except me.

      I realized that I missed my original father. At night,  I called the genie from the lamp. I told him" I was wrong genie . I am not having a good time with my new father, I miss my original father." So the genie said, "I an sure you want to wish something." I asked" That is right. Can you please have my father return?" The genie brought my father. Then, I wished, "I want my ability to wish every time, to disappear!" I did not want any other changes and problems in my life, just because of my whishes.

     It was the next morning. I woke up, and went out to the yard, with my father. He was my original father, and he gave a shovel to me. I dug up the ground, and found an old dirty lamp. IT looked familiar, I wiped the lamp, and a genie appeared, and promised to grant me three wishes. Guess what I did? I told him that I did not need them.

     Now, I am with my father, whom I hated, but who I love the most now. I looked up, and saw my father smiling. I recognized that I had misunderstood my father until now. He was , and is friendly , and always nice. I want to say " Thank you," to the genie of the lamp, because now I realize how I really feel about my father. Now,  I love my father, I truly love my father.
